I think we can safely assume they will provide the M+ update with fixes and M3 compatibility in January. I would also think support would not turn away helping any M+ users with M2 until that time even though they won't publish more fixes for M2

What’s your assumption based on? Are you an M+ beta tester? Do you have the new M+ update with M3 beta running on your M+? If not, January is not achievable.

This optimism shows me a not so deep knowledge of how NI company works…😶

No need to be rude, just because you don't feel you cannot make the same assumptions or you don't share my opinions. I suggest you look at my join date before you explain away my statements with me not suffering the same purgatory as you.

you have to forgive us who are longtime users and dreamers who basically lost most of our hope.

Sorry if it sounded rude. It was not my intention. Reading our posts again, I struggle to see the rudeness. But, since it is more important how something is perceived than the real intention, I apologize anyway.

That said… being in the forum since 2008 doesn’t mean deeply knowing how the company works

This is why I consider trolling a form of activism, btw. This is the exact reason I signed up, so that I could be a jerk and rib this company into doing what needs to be done. A decade without tempo automation was already pathetic, but this takes the cake. No compatibility updates for their FLAGSHIP standalone…they really need more payroll, or like a union or something. I'd rather have to wait for updates because they're picketing, than have to wait because they're tired and understaffed.

This is why I think standalone was maybe not such a great idea as it completely forked development. Instead of fast updates for one version, we get slow updates for two.

I like my maschine+ but if it's slowing down development of the desktop version (which it probably is) it seems misguided.

The team is probably all on vacation for the holidays, probably until after January 6th.

I like how my completely reasonable comment got voted down.

We need to start yelling at/peacefully protesting & advocating for the team to these people:

    And this guy:

Hit them in the wallet. Make social media posts and influencer videos about the downfall of the company and emphasize how behind they are. Tank their stocks and make them sell at a loss if they don't act in good faith. Investment companies kill companies for profit, so lets kill their profits.

There are many other products developed at NI, which are way more different and distracting than several variants for the same product.

On the other hand the same team has to take care of several products, and team leads change about every year. That probably isn’t helpful either.

…which is why they need to spend their money on their employees! Specifically, they need multiple teams to manage different groups of products instead of one team doing everything. Native Instruments aren't Valve…they can't afford to run on "valve time" if everything they produce ends up being mediocre. There should at least be 6 "Teams" at NI…1 for Traktor, 1 for Komplete Kontrol, 1 for Maschine, 1 for Reaktor, 1 for Kontakt, and 1 team to handle plugins, expansions, and libraries. Maybe even a 7th team could be employed that strictly deals with the logistics concerning the interoperability of various products and integration of various technologies.

Actually, I just had an idea: We should petition for Francisco Partners to sell NI to Gabe Newell. I don't think he cares about music, but he'd probably do a much better job.
