Kontakt is not loading samples until they're played (Kontakt 7, Kontakt 8)

I'm having the same problem described in this other thread. That thread was marked as resolved, but no solution was described.

I'm using Pro Tools in my case. When I load up my various templates, all my Kontakt instruments will load up, but not the samples. When I play notes, it will load up the sample for each note I play, and that's it.

I've never had this issue before, so I don't understand why it's suddenly happening. I've tested this loading up my template with Kontakt 7 (fully updated) and then Kontakt 8, and the issue is the same.

Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

In this thread the user ended up contacting our support as it was probably system related.

Does the problem only comes with this template? If you load the same instrument on a blank ProTools project, can you reproduce the issue? Do you have any issues loading these instruments in Kontakt in standalone?

Do Pro Tools and Kontakt (7&8) all have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

Are your libraries installed on an external hard drive? What ids the format of that drive?

The problem shows itself in multiple templates I use. Manually loading just one of the instruments will properly load up all its samples into RAM, whether I do that in a new session, or within one of the templates, even in one of the existing Kontakt instances alongside the multi. Same for Kontakt standalone.

The problem seems to happen when loading any session with many instances (For instance, I tested one with just 15 instances and it happened).

Pro Tools, Kontakt 7 & 8, Native Access, NTKDaemon, etc. all have full disk access.

Yes, the libraries are stored on external SSD's, formatted APFS.

And these are my computer specs: M2 Ultra Mac Studio, 192 GB RAM, macOS Sonoma 14.7.1
