Traktor 3.6+ Collection corrupts when file path includes symbolic links / shortcuts

Hi !
Since the discussion was closed without discussion, I open another ticket to ask devs what do they think about that. Will Traktor one day be able to work with symbolic links ? Is it already possible and if so, I'm sorry i did not see anything about that on the internet or on release notes.

A big advantage of Traktor over rekordbox is that you can (you could, in the past) manage your files your own way, with a folder architecture as if you were sorting records, and Traktor will find them.

However, I have a desktop computer for home usage. A laptop for gigs, and a backup laptop or secondary laptop in case I need to switch quickly between two setups in the same gig. As you may know, it's often impossible to keep strictly the same folder architecture between multiple computers. For instance both my laptops rely on an SD card to hold the extra 500Go of music, since it would largely overcome the surface pro 4 storage. I have about 40.000 files, plus my own recorded backup mixes, and I want to be free to access any as long as I have my SDcard / external drive / etc.

Something Reeaallyyy goood was possible with 3.5. You could symbolically map your music folder to the external drive and easily synchronize the collection.nml file between computers.

Traktor would find the files in any computer.

So to help me with my future purchases :
- has this question been adressed ?
- if yes, to what version may I update my setup ? Can I buy traktor pro 4 ?
- if no, will it ever be ?
- if no again, I'd be happy if you'd let us know why. It may not be my business, but if it's more a question of doability with the future software architecture than of means, I'd be glad to invest my energy with another personal workaround or by moving to another software rather than trying to convince your Project Manager to invest in this topic a larger amount of resources that the one he have.

Thanks for your attention !
