How to use vinyl, DVS and a Z1 ?

Its been a good 15 years sincey last gig but I'm getting nostalgic. So I'm looking into getting my SLs out again for home use and really like the idea of using the Z1. My question is, what do I need to run my decks through Traktor while using the Z1 for mixing both files and standard vinyl?

You would need a sound interface with 4 channel phono in (two stereo for the turntables) and also 4 out for cue and master. Something like the traktor a6.

Could I use a Traktor Scratch A6 ? Will that still work with the Z1?

Yes, exactly the Traktor Scratch A6.

You will have to connect speakers and headphones to the a6, not the z1. master/cue volume from the z1 might not work any more.

If you are on mac, you can also combine the a6 and the z1 audio device. Aggregated audio it's called. And then you could use the input from the a6 and the output from the z1.

Could I do that on an iPad too? I would like to be using the Z1 with it's maste/cue if possible.

Traktor DJ 2 is dead, for a long while now.

You might be able with other software, like a subscription to Algoriddim Djay.

But that is out of my knowledge range.

I just wanted to ask if I can avoid using a laptop and use an iPad.

Traktor dj 2 was the old I pad software.

Traktor pro does not work on iPad.
