Hey @CB Music What's your operating system? What exact model of the Samsung Ultrawide do you have? What Mac is it? Model/processor? Does it happen with Kontakt 8 too?
There was an issue on Sonoma, the issue and the fix came from Apple. It was fixed with the 14.5 Sonoma update.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have the M2 Ultra running Sonoma 14.5(I have just update to Sonoma 14.7.1 as a test, Kontakt 7 opens and runs, however it crashes with Raum exactly the same as before the upgrade. I also tried another NI fx - Flair which crashed the Mac as well
I don’t have Kontakt 8 to test it. Also I haven’t tried all my NI instruments or FX yet, so it could well happen with other ones too
It doesn’t crash when using Kontakt 5.
It crashes in stand alone and with Logic x the same.
The monitor screen is the Samsung G93SC 49” ultra wide.Thanks.

I've contacted you by email regarding this. One thing before anything. If you set the refresh rate to 60Hz for the monitor do the crashes still happen?

I just saw this post and I'm wondering if I have a similar issue. Every time I load Kontakt 8 in Logic Pro, I get a Complete System crash and reboot.
New Mac Mini M4 Pro
MacOS 15.1 Sequoia
Dell UltraSharp U4025QW 40" Class 5K2K WUHD @120Hz 5120x2880I've tried all of the variants of completely uninstalling Kontact, Native Access, all the prefs and plist files, turning off stats sharing and rebooting, etc. Even a completely fresh install on a fresh operating system crashes. This is so frustrating. Every other plugin from other vendors is working fine. Is there a known issue when working with Wide monitors, is it the aspect, or the refresh rate that is an issue?
Much appreciated for any help!

@NativeNoob Can you try to set the refresh rate to 60Hz? It has fixed the issue for some users. Please let us know. Could you post some crashlogs?
- Press COMMAND + SPACE
- Type Console
- Then you see this
- Then you can right-click the Crashlog and click on SHOW in FINDER.
- Then zip the file and attach it to your post.

@Jeremy_NI Yes, swapping the monitor to the other choice, 60Hz, seems to allow Kontact to work without crashing. Thanks for the help! Since this is such a well defined and easy issue to reproduce, I am hopeful that this bug can be fixed and future versions will allow us to use our hardware at the full spec.
Thanks!

There were issues in the past affecting a lot of Apple users, and not only with our products. The issues were all fixed from Apple side, it's very likely this will be the same.
