My Komple Kontrol Pro Tools AAX plug-in will not load on boot up.

Hi,

This issue just came up when I updated everything in Native Access. It's been a while, but everything updated and downloaded just fine. However, now I’m getting this error when booting up Pro Tools, and can’t use Komplete Kontrol in Pro Tools 2023.9.

I’m using it with my Komplete Kontrol S61 keyboard, which I assume has the latest updates from Native Access. My OS is running Ventura 13.6.7 on a Mac Studio M2.

Kontakt runs without issues, and I’ve tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall Komplete Kontrol through Native Access (which is the latest version), but the plugin still won’t load. I also tried launching Pro Tools in Rosetta mode, but that didn’t work either.

The version of my KK AAX plugin is 3.3.3, which is 4 years old. Is there a newer version available in my online account?

Do you think my keyboard needs firmware or additional updates? If this is not something Native Access can address, could you please provide direct links for updates? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Please try the following:

    Make sure that Pro Tools and Komplete Kontrol have full disk access:

    Close Pro Tools.

    Delete this file: Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins > Komplete Kontrol.aaxplugin

    Open Pro Tools, close Pro Tools.

    Reinstall Komplete Kontrol from Native Access.

    Open Komplete Kontrol in standalone, check if everything is functional. Close Komplete Kontrol.

    Open Pro Tools, is Komplete Kontrol showing now and can you load it?

    Brilliant! I did have full access with Pro Tools and Komplete Kontrol. Following your instructions to the tee, fixed it!!! I'm back in business again. Thank YOU!!!!

    Quick questions. The AAX plug-in says the creation date is May 25, 2024 but my version of KK says the creation date is Jan 15, 2020. Is that right?

    Do you think my Komplete Kontrol S61 keyboard needs firmware or additional updates? If this is not something Native Access can address, could you please provide direct links for updates?

    Great to hear it's working now. You have a mk2 keyboard, right? Then the firmware should be up to date, there were no updates for a long time. If everything is updated in Native Access you should be good to go!
