X1 MK3 tempo adjust granularity

I just purchased a Z1 MK2 + X1 MK3 in order to have a very portable option for DJing on the go. My usual controller is an S8, and I absolutely LOVE it. One of the best features is the inclusion of a Tempo encoder, something which I utilize heavily while working with other DJs. Using a pitch fader to get an exact BPM is nearly impossible for most people, and when I'm doing long crossovers at 127.78 BPM I really appreciate being able to dial into the exact tempo. And then when I'm gradually dialing the tempo up during a set, that encoder is a godsend.

I like that the X1 MK3 lets me adjust tempo on a track with SYNC + LOOP Encoder, but unfortunately the values I get are not very useful. For example, if the track is normally 128 and I turn the encoder counter-clockwise one click, the new tempo is 127.87. And if I want to change it from 128 to 126, I have to pick between 125.95 or 126.08.

I already know I can use the master tempo to set an exact value, but that takes my focus away from the hardware and requires me to use mouse & keyboard, which interrupts my workflow. Is there any way we can change how much the encoder jumps at a time? The S8 allows me to jump whole BPM, or by 100th of a BPM using SHIFT. Even if I could just hard-code the X1 adjustment to .1 BPM, that would be sufficient for my needs. I even tried the MIDI mode but couldn't seem to get it to work for this at all, and on another controller's encoder I was never able to consistently get it to be a specific adjustment value.
