Kontakt 8 AU is not found in Maschine 3, but is found in Maschine 2

I'm wondering if I'm the only one with this problem.

Kontakt 8 AU is not nowhere to be found in Maschine 3, but it is found in Maschine 2 and in Logic Pro11.1.

Kontakt VST is there in Maschine 3.

It does matter, because if I use VST version it might be a chore to replace it later with AU in all my projects.

I have reinstalled Kontakt 8, but no use.

I had a similar problem with Maschine 3 at first install not finding all my plugins, I had to delete all the Maschine 3 settings so it would have to rescan all plugins again. Even pressing rescan in the settings didn't fix it.

Thank you @Tom Collins! How do I delete all the settings?

There's a list of paths Maschine 3 is installed to if you choose "how to uninstall" in Native Access.

Then I went for any Maschine 3 folder installed into "Application Support", both in the global and the user Library locations.

If you are on Windows; I don't know :) I suspect you can still get some helpful paths in NA

Still no use. I accidentally checked this as answered since I had such big hopes.

I hope I can get official support.

@Impermanence Make sure to give full disk access to Maschine 3 and Kontakt 8: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

Go to Maschine's preferences and make sure to tick that box:

Check if the AU is showing here, if not, hit the rescan button.

In case that didn't help, you can reset the database:

    Reinitialize the Maschine database

    1. Note: The User Library folder is hidden. See this article for instructions to access hidden macOS folders.
    2. Search through the Native Instruments folder at this location to find the Maschine 2 or Maschine 3 folder.
    3. Note: Deleting other NI product folders could result in unexpected behavior with other applications.
    4. Reopen the Maschine software to check that the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for really fast reaction @Jeremy_NI

I did give access to Maschine 3 and Kontakt 8. It wasn't given before. It didn't help.

I did delete Maschine 3 and Maschine 2 files from both

    • Macintosh HD > Users > "User Name" > *Library > Application Support > Native Instruments
    • Macintosh HD > Users > "User Name" > *Library > Preferences

Unfortunately it didn't help either. I did also reinstall both programs. No help there.

I have the boxes ticked. Kontakt 8 VST is on the list, but Kontakt 8 AU is not.

Logic Pro 11.1. still finds Kontakt 8 AU. Maschine 3 doesn't find it in standalone or in plugin mode.

Sorry to hear that it didn't help. I've contacted you by email, we need to have a deeper look in your system.
