Will there be a version 2 update to Maschine+ or only a version 3 upgrade?

me personally I don’t care what you think.

Oh and it’s not about displeasure, it’s about the fact that you did in fact assign a value to your statement and you were thus “criticising”.

The other guy was trying to explain to you why yours is not an apt description because it’s neither “just” nor “simply” for that matter.

If you don't care, then why comment? If you (or others) see what I wrote as attacking or criticising then you're entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to describe what I see in the way I choose.

Ok, probably you are not interested.

    No problem.

Everything is questionable in the end.

Even Aretha Franklin had her best hits by taking someone’s else song and simply rearranging it…

Since I’m here, I take the occasion to also add a nice video (from the series Wu-Tang - An American Saga) that tries to interpret what happens in SOME sampling producers’ minds when listening to others’ music…(in this case RZA)

Edit: I don’t know why the video starts from the middle but…if you are interested, watch it from the beginning ☺️

Indeed, let’s discuss the “soon” part in this topic 👍🏻

NI seems to love seeing us getting off-topic on discussions regarding their lack of responsibility.

I’d love to see people who patronize arts try the art form themselves.

    "by taking someone’s else song"

There's a big difference between covering a song (re-recording from scratch) and just sampling bits of it.

I tend to believe some people are in here to do NI a favor… covering criticism with dust.

My fault. I entered a discussion that I already knew was useless.

I stop there. (Even if I would like to answer to the last PK’s statement ☺️)

    Let’s continue pressing NI 😏

Edit: I also stop because this thread is becoming the playground of the “Let’s put Votes Down Army” of the forum (included some of the ones to PK, who has all the right to express his disagreement about sampling)

    I will never understand it…

I saw a turtle who said he had the Maschine plus update. Turns out it was just the promise of an update.

I think any update for Maschine+ will be a bonus at this point, just Reaktor parity would be great.
After the video of NI plugins running on Akai MPCs in standalone this last few days, and Akai having it nearly completely scrubbed from the net (Note Andy for Akai was in the video) I would suspect that NI may become a content provider/partner for the MPC, which is disappointing for us M+ users, but probably a great commercial move for NI.

Could it be just something in the ballpark of that old video showing an hack to have a custom created GUI of NI plugins on MPC screens? (Note that the plugin was NOT running on the MPC standalone)

It seems strange to me not finding any info about it (even if the video was removed, people would be talking about it on the internet)

Even when this all would be through, I would still (or maybe even more) prefer my M+ to be updated to be compatible with the latest version 2; so not talking about extra features or version 3 SW on device.

I’m done with being a beta tester for all these ‘all-in-one-box-promises’ by ALL vendors, including Akai. When I need a full blown DAW I prefer Ableton Live, that I use on a Mac Studio M2 with a decent screen and Push 3 Controller (so also no standalone version). I use my Maschine+ as a standalone sketchpad, or loops / stems player.

So, especially with the class-compliancy improvements and some other bugs fixed, I’m totally fine with my Maschine Plus as a stand-alone sampling and performance groove box running version 2 SW (and maybe SW 3… somewhere in the future when it’s stable enough).

Theres rumours that Akai is going to be announcing stuff at NAMM, you can see what looks to be Analog Dreams on the MPC screen in the background image.

    Also another artist uploaded this…

What does that mean for Maschine+?

Although Massive and Reaktor on the MPC touchscreen would be much easier to edit 😁
