Secondhand controllers

Hi Peoples

I recently purchased a secondhand Maschine MK2, I don't have a transfer ID. I don't need to purchase the software again because this is 3rd controller.

The controller came with just the device ID no serial on the bottom of the unit.

What do I do?

I would contact the NI Support via their Chat (Login with your NI ID first) ⇒ https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/de/sections/360000091558-Maschine
and send a photo of the sticker under your Maschine with the Device ID.
They will contact the seller and/or make a licence transfer.

All issues regarding serials and registration are handled exclusively by N.I. Account Support

The below here is the general description of how to contact support even though it may not completely fit your case :

Send support a picture of both serial on bottom of device and of your purchase receipt.

The "resolution that works" is the click through and make the right choices to open a ticket : N.I.Account Support

(You need to use browser with Cookie , Security and Extensions settings that will allow for log-in on the page for the page to work)

Scroll down to bottom of page N.I. Account Support and log in

Then click the Contact support

Then again scroll down and click the Contact N.I. support that shows

Then yes , damn it ! , then you have to click the Contact N.I. support again

2: Is your question about License Transfers / 2nd hand purchases?

5 Have you received a License Transfer Token?

NO

6 Have you bought it from a shop (Guitar Center, Sweetwater,Thomann, etc.) or from a private person (Ebay, Facebook, etc.)?

7 Please ask the seller to request a License Transfer Token as explained in this article.

I Can't contact the seller

8 Please upload a photo of the invoice or receipt from the seller.

You have to take the rest from there yourself

The sw is the same for all controllers so if you already have 2 with the software, then it should be plug-and-play.

To reiterate: you only need one SW license to use use all controllers.

Note - The SW is not designed to be able to use more than 1 controller at the same time in dedicated mode, one will switch to MIDI Mode automatically. The exception is when one of the controllers is of a different type, say a S keyboard or Jam, those can work along side one 4x4 controller.
