Creating custom maschine packs ready for retail

Hi guys,

This may have been answered before and I have seen tutorials of how to make custom maschine packs, but i havent seen any for making retail ready packs?

I basically want to be able to make expansion packs that have documents and are mapped to komplete kontrol ect. just like the official ones purchased from Native instruments.

Is there any way to do this? I know it was able to be done with kontakt instruments, i had a friend that used to make kontakt based instruments and sell them in the past.

I am working on some vsts ect. and I would live to make my stuff fully compatible with maschine and the nks systems since Native instruments is the brains of what i use in my production studio

It will depend on whats your definition of "Maschine Pack", what's it's contents and how fancy you want it to be feel "retail".

If it just has samples (loops and one-shots) the usual tutorials for image thumbnails or software such as MaschineImageMaker (windows only) got you covered but to feel like retail you would need an installer to put the files in the right place instead of having the user manually do it. Ease of install is a big selling point of this sort of stuff…

If you want to do something like an "Expansion" where Groups, Projects, etc.. also have their own main thumbnail instead of being nested in the main Maschine default thumbnail you will need to use a script such as NimBank - This is because NI does not allow us to modify/add 'Product' tags.

If you're planning on making packs specifically for Maschine then I'd wait for the release of Maschine v3 as some things might be about to change.
