Connecting my Kontrol s49 MK3 Keyboard

When I connect my Keyboard to my ASUS Z390-PLUS motherboards USB-C connection, the keyboard powers on. I got the serial number for registering, and i downloaded the latest Komplete Kontrol software and the Hardware Connection Service.

When i load Komplete Kontrol it can not find my keyboard as it is greyed out in the options. I have also tried to update the Firmware manually, but it can not find the keyboard.

I have read and walked through the Kontrol S-series troubleshooting.

Did i do something wrong? Can i buy a USB-A to USB-C adapter and try to connect it that way?

Hello,

maybe there is something blocked from windows security, for example I had to allow some native apps through the protected folder thing. You can search for the protected folder access history. A USB a to c cable alone would not help if power is the problem, you would need a power brick like for modern phones that can charge very fast and use it additionally with the second connection on the keyboard with the lightning sign (this is for power only).

Here on the picture of the "virus and threat protection" you can see the "history" link, you can use that to check if something got blocked and allow it then.

Hi and thank you for the answer!

I have disabled the scanning of usb and other hardware in the Bitdefender settings, but it still did not work.

I bought a USB-A to USB-C adapter and tried to connect it into different USB-A ports. Also with an extra USB-C cable for power. But nothing is recognized still.

If you just use the power connector with a USB c power brick does it power on?

Strangely, when pulling out another game controller from Azeron, the pc found the Komplete Kontrol MK3. I have updated the firmware now and it seems to work as it should.
