Maschine Studio Screen Colors Seem off?

Hey guys I just bought this off Ebay, a maschine studio and its all fully functional and working as it should. BUT the screen colors seem blocky and immensely off. I watched a YouTube video of someone turning theirs on and its definitely different and not as high def / detailed. I attached some photos. Got it from a pawn shop that said it was in good condition, but never had pictures of it on. Wondering if this is a damaged screen or perhaps my power supply i'm using is no good for it. In the photo where it says knob page 1 etc the words are purple, my phone camera turned them out almost white in the photos. Its fully functional and I can live with this as its not screwing with its functionality but i'm curious if anyone else has seen this?

    Update:

Speaking to OP via DM I suggested opening the controller and checking the ribbon cable that goes to the screens, it turns out it was slightly loose and pushing it to fully connect fixed the issue.

    Marking this thread as solved.

It does appear that the screens may be going bad. I don't believe this is a common issue with the Maschine Studio units, but golly, they've been out there a long time now. They were first released about 11 years ago.

You can try to see if the unit can be repaired. Sweetwater's repair service is not bad if you're in the US. Maybe call them and see if you can send the unit in for testing and repair. But success is probably going to depend on parts availability.

Yeah thats way off… Never seen that in my forum years before. Personally, I'd return it and ask for my $ back. Did you even get the Maschine SW license? Usually pawn shops do not, so all you get is MIDI Mode and no Maschine SW.

    Try updating the firmware: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/drivers-other-files/

Try to change the screen brightness to see if it helps with anything, should be in the Maschine SW Prefs or Controller Editor (if you dont have mas sw then use the above link to get Controller Editor)

Inspect your power supply specs and see if it matches NI's official one (15V, 2.6a)

If it's physical screen damage then its a bit odd that it's both screens.
