My presets are not working and my instruments don't work in old projects. Help?

Hey nerds:)

This might be a to-parted question and I really hope you can help me with this one.

I recently bought a new MacOS device and chose to start fresh and manually install the only instruments, DAW(Logic Pro) and plugins I need and nothing else.

Everything has worked fine. There is plenty of sound.

Until I wanted to transfer my NI presets and trigger already made MIDI in Logic.

I found the Presets-folder on my old device, copied my presets and transferred them to the same location on my new device. In my head this should work.

The first problem I encountered was when I opened an old project and I tried to load a preset and nothing happened. The presets are there but it's like they're empty. How do I fix that?

The second problem happened when I went to check on the other NI instruments the project already were using and they generated no sound from the MIDI on their tracks. They show an exclamation mark. I have no clue what could be causing that, so please help:)

If you're opening old projects made on an Intel Mac on a Silicon Mac you need to run Logic in Rosetta mode: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta

Does that fix the issues?

It kinda fixed some of it — maybe…

It can open the presets just fine now. But there is still no sound because now it can't locate the plug-ins in Komplete Kontrol. It does however work in Kontakt.

Reinstalling the the different instruments in Access doesn't seem to fix that issue

Can you explain what is happening exactly? Do you get an error message? Can you post a screenshot?

My instruments do work in Komplete Kontrol as standalone though

Then there's a good likelihood you don't have Komplete Kontrol configured appropriately as an input for your DAW so it can see it.
