M32 compatibility with Kontakt 8

Comparing a Mac to a music instrument is dumb.
Again a product category music instrument / controller is not the same category as a computer or smartphone. This is a false equivalence. You should not have the same life cycle expectation for a computer and a music instruments / controllers.
A Music instrument / controller life cycle should be much longer.

You forgotten to add “IMHO”. Also, no need to use words like “dumb”, unless you’re 5 years old or something;)

Kontrol S MK2 is still supported. It works with Kontakt as it always has. There is no question of it being end of lifed.
Kontrol S MK3 offers new and exciting features.
Both can be true and neither is in conflict with the other. If there is frustration that the new product has new features, and the old (but still supported) product does not have those new features, that isn't really as insidious as is being suggested here.

Disagree. On this one it is a pretty muddy mix. I think consumers may have different views what they expect in product support compared to the company who makes the product.
When the explanation for certain limitations do not sound right to me - I'll go with my gut and call it out as a whiff of ******. Just take the critique,
My M32 is obsolete when my big DAW template mainly for my S88 MK3 now runs Kontakt - I do not use Komplete Kontrol plugins in this scenario more than for some synths. So when using the template with my M32 on my laptop I cannot use the hardware fully.
My M32 is now around five years old (no new products has been released to replace it) and it is far from 10 years old. 5 years is pretty short to invest in NI products.
Oh and adding an IMO for obnoxious NI fanboys and moderators ganging up here to downvote and commenting.

Your M32 works as well as it always has, with Komplete Kontrol.
Your new S88 MK3 works similarly with Komplete Kontrol.
Your new S88 MK3 also includes new features, such as the ability to connect directly to a Kontakt API, and process all the parameter metadata and graphical rendering on-device, a task the onboard processors of the M32 are simply not powerful enough to handle.
If you choose to alter your template and transition away from Komplete Kontrol, and use Kontakt directly, that is your prerogative. You are choosing to use a new feature offered on new hardware. You also have the choice to continue using the new hardware with Komplete Kontrol, or (what it sounds like you're doing) a mix of both in a single template.
Please also consider your tone. You may not appreciate new features being brought to new hardware (that you happen to own and use) and not pre-existing hardware, but that doesn't make it acceptable to argue unpleasantly with or at other users. In fact - I'd ask everyone here to tone it down a notch. We're all creatives - we have that in common. Difference of opinion should be handled politely.

I agree with the AdelV.
I also discovered NO usability with Kontakt & the M32 today, & i purchased it 6 months ago…. now i have to use my mouse… it is ridiculous…
Knowing that this was meant for newer keyboards, I thought NKS would at least grant Browsing & Preset loading at the very minimum.
Why can i get more Kontakt functionality through Maschine, but not in Kontakt standalone. The M32 is much more closely linked to Kontakt than Maschine.
Why isn't there a cohesive integration between ALL NI Products? Traktor effect types are integrated into Kontakt 8, so there's only a limited intergration, which literally splits up the NI community, in each product range as well - & that's absurd.
& if any1 is shilling for NI & dismisses the fact that not every1 can buy gear every time something new pops up… put yourselves in some1 elses shoes at least once in a while, & don't dismiss any1s difficulties with the hardware / software just because everything's running smooth on your side. Everything runs smooth for every1 till an update / upgrade is launched, so you very well could be in the exact predicament in the future.

Again - M32 works with Kontakt the same way it always has: via Komplete Kontrol.
Neither the M, A nor prior S series have the ability to process Direct Connection on-device, and have always integrated with NKS content – such as Kontakt – via Komplete Kontrol.
This continues to be true - and nothing has been removed to that end.
All that has subsequently happened is the release of new hardware, which is capable of new features.

Matthew_NI has previously suggested that a MK3 (?) keyboard with more than 25 keys and less than 49 keys might be released at a later point , my guess is that sales numbers and apparent demand for the model will determine what actually comes to pass with respect to that.
Oh and adding an IMO for obnoxious NI fanboys and moderators ganging up here to downvote and commenting.
No Moderator is ganging up with anyone on anyone else here , it's not how things work here. But people have the right to disagree with you even if being a Moderator or Administrator. Also then we the Moderators 'moderate' that ought to go without saying, also with respect to matters where you do not agree how things are handled. Please do as Matthew_NI asks and take it down a notch or two.
I removed a couple of your (minor) latest posts for being off topic and being nonconstructive to say the least.

I'd like to hope that somewhere, behind everything else, there are plans being placed to consolidate what is now the NI oeuvre. It seems to me that development of the product lines, even prior to the change of ownership, was anything but cohesive or considered overall.
Co-ordinating iZotope and PA into that is no mean feat and going to take a huge amount of work. Personally, I would have preferred that they had remained separate until the co-ordination was properly in place so that offers where smatterings of disparate products were possibly less likely to be included to make things appear to have more value without taking into account whether the user might already have them.

Agree on everything above. If you want people to buy into a big eco system make sure to build it well and thoughtful.

I only found out about the NI Keyboards and bought my M32 a year and a half ago. I heard how great the accessibility is with screenreaders. It has been great with Komplete Kontrol so far. However, I do think that there should be more accessibility with Kontakt as it's updated. Using the new features in Kontakt 8 is pretty much inaccessible. And from what I have read, the new MK3 keyboards have no accessibility for us anymore, So it's one step forward and 2 steps back in terms of accessibility with new NI products. I think that's ridiculous.
