Kontakt 8 cannot locate library path on most packages

I've installed the new Kontakt 8 using Native Access 3.14.0. When I go to, for example, Analog Dreams, and double click to load the 80s Folder preset, I get this dialog telling me it cannot locate the relevant .nki file.

Yet, when I go to Native Access and click on …and Installation Paths it shows me the location on my SSD which worked perfectly fine with Kontakt 7.

If any knows how to fix this, I would be very grateful 🙏🏽

Hi dont know if this helps But I spent all day downloading Komplete 8 and i had simmlar problems lots of them just stupid things not working the cure i found was to make sure all updates are completed and most importantly of all reboot after every item is installed , I have 489 items in K7 and only 10 in K8 lots were installed but without content so i was in a loop of rebooting after every download it made no sense sometimes after a reboot 10 or 12 would let me install some failed ? but in the end I got all that I paid for it took all day, and some of it is flaky Im on windows 10 hope this helps, it took me a while to try it and to my surprise it made a difference.

Well, I'm taking the nuclear option of reinstalling Analog Dreams, all 4 gigs of it, no fun on a slow WiFi like mine! If that works then, at least I have a way forward, albeit a slow one. Thanks for the reply! I'm sorry that it was a struggle for you, but you got there in the end 😃

Well, I got nearly all of my Kontakt libraries to install. Despite using exactly the same methodology as all of the others, for some reason, 3 libraries: "Analog Dreams", "The 88E" and "Twenty Five". I'll try reinstalling them.

The way I've been doing things, by the way, is to install a library, then cut and paste the folder to my SSD, then create a symlink in /users/shared to point to the moved folder. This has worked nicely on all but 3 libraries, as I say.

I'll report back after I've reinstalled the 3 dodgy libraries 😉
