Kontakt 7 in demo mode for my personal sample library K5

Hi, recently migrated to Apple M3 and upgraded to Kontakt 7. All sample libraries seem to load fine except for my extensive personal libraries created in Kontakt 5.

When these .nki are loaded Kontakt 7 enters Demo Mode and prompts me to upgrade.

Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.

Hi @PatrickG_67 it sounds like you're trying to use those libraries on the latest macOS? Note that Kontakt 5 is not supported on Ventura: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/3600 14900358-Compatibility-of-Native-Instruments-Products-on-macOS

You're probably loading them into Kontakt Player, where this would be expected behaviour. They must be loaded into Full Kontakt 5 6 or 7.

To be more precise, loading my .nki files into Full Kontakt 5/7 simply opens Kontakt Player in demo mode.

I think Kontakt and Kontakt Player are separate programmes. If you have the full version, you're opening the wrong one. Don't know how you change a file association on a Mac.
