How to analyze Traktor pro crash dump file?

Hi.

After a more than a 3 years of using Traktor, on the last weekend I had my first unexpected Traktor crash. 🤯The Traktor application window just instantly disappeared. This was so instant and fast I think after I have pressed the load track button. There was no error messages, nothing. Is it possible somehow to analyze the dmp file to find what caused this crash? Or I need to open a ticket for this?

The only suspect for this: the latest Windows 11 update for Ryzen CPU's KB5041587. I have tried to load the same track afterwards multiple times (I have recorded the crash process with a GoPro so I know what track I have tried to load 😅), but everything worked fine.

From the details you give us sounds like a possible CPU overload, if you have replicated the Crash multiple times and nothing has happened again could mean that it was a one time thing hahah… you know computers.

If it happens again let us know, but I will still be prevented and contact support so they can have a look in your system to see if there is something blocking or triggering this behaviour.

I don't think this was a CPU overload. Just a typical jam session I had ten times! I have connected everything at about 13:00, played for a few hours, then traveled to buy some food. Laptop was leaved with a Traktor and Bitwig applications up running. Afterwards I have returned back, played for another one hour. And the crash was at about 18:40. 😅 Before opening ticket, at first I will try to replicate the problem when playing 2-3 hours sets in the future.

P.S. Yeah, I know the dump files are in a binary format. 🤯And You need special tools to analyze them.

If you are not a developer, the answer is no. You can open the file with Notepad but most of it will look like gibberish. I work with Windows on a semi-pro level since 1998 and still i can understand less than 10% of those kind of files, because simply i do not know the code language… so… open a ticket! 😊
