It is more than "OK". It is superior by all means!
Of course that's OK, I would even say that's the standard, I only have mechanical disks externally as backup disks, everything else is SSD.
I've been using all SSDs for everything except for large backups. For those, I still use hard drives of 10TB or larger. I buy those mostly refurbished now, and I always get my backup drives with a 7200 RPM speed. They're already too slow, so why make it even worse with a 5400 RPM "green" drive?
