Encoders behaviour M32 vs A49

Hi,
Ableton Live: I create an Instantmapping for use the encoders without value jumps and instant mapping of parameters. It worked very well with my old M32, but NOT with the A49: there are value jumps because the MIDI output is not validated in Live (it remains in red). I remember that with the M32 I had to specify the name of the new folder in a chapter [Global] in the config.txt of Live. This chapter doesn't exist since I use the A49. Is it a mistake on my part or are the encoders on the A49 not identical to those on the M32?
Thank you
