Hello,

I'm using the Kontakt 5 factory library, and I'm trying to figure out how to map dynamics and volume, but my mod wheel does neither. I'm sure this is something silly, unless the factory library doesn't come with various midi dynamic layers and is all controlled by note velocity?

Many of the Kontakt Factory library instruments don't have expression (CC11) per se, and the mod wheel is mapped to what ever is the modulation (vibrato, tremolo) etc. that exists in the patch.

The best solution is to either use a controller that can be mapped to volume (CC7) in your keyboard, or a foot pedal.

You can easily add MIDI CC 11 to modulate volume since you can edit all instruments, though. This would be preferrable because then volume modulation happens before any effects.
