I am having a nightmare updating the firmware for my kontrol s88 mk3 keyboard, have tried endlessly

I have tried endlessly all suggestions from NI support to no avail the firmware updater version 3,20 just keeps asking to power cycle the keyboard and retry can anybody help!!! The s88 is now unusable and i have little hair left to pull out. Any new approaches or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou and again thankyou. I had been following the dfu driver update procedure but after a couple of hours sleep and the reassurance i was not alone, cheers DunedinDragon, Where i had been going wrong was power cycling the s88 as per the firmware updater instructions; this is what finally worked

run the firmware updater which fails (do not quit or power cycle and retry!!)
update windows driver for s88 dfu via device manager by this stage already in usb devices as apposed to other devices.
return to firmware updater and click retry without power cycle
wait 5 mins
big smiles and hair starting to grow back

Glad to hear it worked for you as well. The only thing here is they still don't know what exactly throws the whole system into this weird state. I know it's been handed over to the development team to try and figure it out, but I haven't heard anything about it yet.
