From experience of playing live, what are people recommending in 2024 as the most suitable/reliable MIDI foot pedal to control Guitar Rig 7 Pro?

Many thanks

Paul

@Paul Crick , I have been using the following controller for a few years now: https://xsonicaudio.com/pages/airstep.Works like a charm and the possibilities are endless. I added 2 Moog expression pedals to the Airstep. Grtz, Wouter

    Hello,

until someone with own experience answers maybe that helps:

Also the Roland FC 300 or the line 6 FBV3, depends of course also on what you exactly want to do, do you need just switches or more foot controllers for wha wha, volume control and other fx

Thanks for that. I'm look to enable patch changes in Guitar Rig 7 and to call up different rack spaces in Gig Performer 5. I have a Wah pedal and need to add an expression pedal. I shall have a look at both suggestions.

But preparing presets for switching through was better in older versions, for example in gr5 you could make several lists and arrange presets in the list then go up down the list with PC messages or send a PC message to directly load a preset. With gr 7 you have the user lists, 5 or 6 of them (the colour dots) if I remember correctly, and go up and down through them by midi learn the preset up/down buttons. Maybe it could be even better to use gig performer to switch presets, but I don't use it myself and of course it all depends on your needs.

That’s indeed an improvement point for GR7, the use of GR7 in a live setup.

Thanks to all who took the time to respond. Having watched and read some reviews and read the User Manual I've gone for the Airstep as it seems to do many of the things I was looking for (and then some!). Added to that, there's a 30-day money-back guarantee from the X Sonic so that lowers the risk of it not meeting expectations.
