just bought a traktor S4 for a few dollars

but Traktor PRO2 can't recognize the S4

Could you please help me?

For Mac OS, the operating system, Traktor version, and also the hardware revision of the controller must match.

With Windows, these problems do not exist to this extent. Perhaps you have a Windows machine at home and could try it with that?
