Recording Thrill 'Y Intensity' Knob

I'm in Cubase with a Kontakt 7 instance running with the Thrill library, using the Kontrol S88 Mk3.

I have 'W' write enabled, and when I turn a knob such as vol A, it records the automation track. However, this doesn't work when I used anything related to the X-Y Pad, such as Y Intensity. Any ideas why, or how to fix it?

Thanks,

Simon.

Interestingly, it works if loaded within an instance of Kontrol first.

I was thinking at first this is like the case with Scene: saffron where NI 'forgot' to add XY automation targets for mouse movements. However I just tried this in Logic (Latch mode) and it did so maybe this is a Cubase specific issue?

Komplete Kontrol is probably different because it 'presents' it's own automation targets that use host automation

Yeah, maybe I'll try the same message on the Cubase forum - I imagine that there are plenty of people out there who want to record the XY pad movements. Thanks.

Actually in Logic it’s using au of course, I should also try the VST3, I guess that may be different?

Nope it must be Cubase or something more localised, tried recording mouse automation on the XY with the VST3 in Studio One and that worked too
