Recording in Cubase Elements 13

No matter what settings I try in Studio Setup and Kontakt 7 through my SK88 Mk2 I can't get a Cubase midi track to record any data. See screenshot.

I am still unable to get a Cubase 13 Elements Midi track to record any data. I have tried selecting Midi output Komplete Kontrol-1 Input and Output channels in Studio Setup. Nothing records. I also tried selecting Komplete Kontrol DAW-1 Input and DAW-1 Output. Still nothing. I even tried a remote session with Cubase support. They were stumped. It appears to be a problem in how I've got my Komplete SK88 Mk2 controller set up. I'm posting some screen shots to show my setup. Cubase shows midi data moving and the track turns red when I engage recording (which is enabled). My SK88 is connected via USB and Komplete Kontrol program (v. 3.32) is running. My PC is running Win10 64 bit. I've tried to initiate recording from the SK88 transports and also on the PC Cubase transport buttons. I've eliminated everything except something I'm missing on the controller, which may be why Cubase tech was stumped. I've invested thousands and hours in this system and I can't even record chopsticks. Can ANYONE help me????
