Serious issue with N61 sustain pedal
to everyone here,
not kidding .. I’ve had this N61 mk3 for almost a year and I still cannot get the sustain pedal to work, not once. I’ve tried several pedals, I am completely updated on all software . I have komplete kontrol but was told it’s not needed for the sustain pedal. There are NO videos on YouTube which specifically helps with setting up the sustain pedal for the S series. I’ve tried messing with the control surface settings in Logic Pro… nothing .. nothing at all. I’ve done my best to not come here to ask for help but I’m on my last leg. The crazy thing is I’m not tech challenged in any way. If anyone can help , I would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you :)
Chuck

@chuckiiboo What brand/model is the pedal?
Since the latest firmware/software updates, Pedal Settings are set by the currently active MIDI Template. To edit the Pedal Settings for any given MIDI Template, press SHIFT + BROWSER, then create or select a MIDI Template. Then, press Button 2 until it shows Pedals.
Then you can follow the same steps as in this article: How to Configure Sustain / Expression Pedals on Kontrol Keyboards

Have you tried using the right/left arrows on your S61 to cycle through the editable parameters for the tip and ring?

I remember a time when you simply plugged in a sustain pedal and it just worked without the need to go through pages of settings and have to be enabled for every midi template separately. Surely there must be an easier way than this?

If it's a regular sustain pedal plugged the default setting should be enough. There will also be improvements regarding the pedals handling in the future.
