Dear All, I've just bought K14 and an M32 Keyboard. K14 and KK3.3.2 all work just fine and as expected on my Mac Studio M1. The M32 keyboard however is not fine and after 24 hours I am close to returning it. The browsing is simply not working, is confusing or both. I have updated to the latest M32 Firmware and I am using the very latest version of all software. Things are not helped by NI videos being out of date and seemingly referring to pre v3 of KK.

To keep things simple I am using the standalone version of KK.

  1. I open KK and the M32 prompts me to press BROWSER. I press the browser button and it prompts instruments. I select instruments and can use the knob to scroll through the instruments. All good so far.
  2. It then prompts me to select types, but I cannot see the types unless I click on Sound Types with my mouse. I can only see the currently selected Type without using the mouse. This makes it very difficult to select the correct type.
  3. Then same happens with sub-type and character - that is I can only see the currently selected item but not the items that it is selecting them from - unless I use the mouse.
  4. Finally I get to results - at this point KK plays a preview of the sound as I rotate the selector knob. This is as expected. Now things really go down hill. I press the selector knob and nothing happens - the instrument is not loaded, the selector knob does nothing. At this point I can use the mouse to switch to performance view, but the keyboard does nothing - selector knob, rotary knobs and the keys themselves do nothing.
  5. Continuing, if I press Browser again (when in perform view - selected with mouse) preset previews are then played on ten background. Otherwise the M32 does nothing.

I am hoping that all of this is as a result of some simple oversight on my part. I have tried deleting and re-installing KK3.3.2, plugging and unplugging M32. but no change.

Really grateful for any pointers or help.

Chris
