The strange differences between two x1 mk3s I bought five months apart

Hello,
Thank you for your response and for following up on this issue. It's great to see that your brand values user feedback in order to improve your products. I wish my first experience with NI wasn't like this. I’m grateful to NI and all other brands for existing and for creating products that allow us to enjoy our hobbies and work even more. However, despite all the explanations, this situation remains unresolved for me and, in my opinion, still causes some inconvenience. I ended up purchasing a product that underwent a version change without my choice, and while I do prefer the new encoder, what am I supposed to do with the old one? As someone who mixes with 4 decks, I use these two X1 units side by side, and this affects my workflow. It's not the end of the world, of course, but it’s still odd. Or let’s think about the scenario the other way around: what if I didn't like the new encoder and wanted the old one? How could I distinguish between them when purchasing?
What should I do now? What is your advice or solution? Should I sell the old one at a loss and try to find a new version of the X1? Should I keep buying, testing, and returning units until I find the version I want, wasting time and money? Or should I just continue using the X1 MK3 as it is and regret purchasing it so quickly? What should I do?
Since I’m in the process of creating a hybrid setup, I was planning to buy a Maschine, but now I unfortunately have some doubts in my mind.
Best

I'd appreciate that for the next time, ask more experienced users please. My X1 Mk3 encoder has been useless since day one. Rotary acceleration can fix the issue with scrolling bigger lists - same tech as computer mouse wheel.

OK, so apparently NI themselves can not tell which of the x1 mk3 have the new rotary encoders and which do not. There answer to my ticket was
"Therefore, it would be hard that we say you can get the latest update for the hardware, as we are continue improving it.
Thanks for your love on our products and we will provide your feedback to the development team as well"Surely they must know from which batch the old encoders where replaced. I explained I am willing to buy a 2nd x1mk3 but need to know I would receive the new encoders and not old stock but apparently this is not possible.
Which leaves me not really wanting to spend that sort of money with the risk I get the exact same issues on the new x1mk3 as I have with my one where the loop encoders are so iffy. They change loop size at the slightest touch making it difficult to set loops accurately on the fly.

Would it be possible for you to buy from NI shop directly?

That Was my intention as i bought my first one directly from them, i did mention it in the email that i would buy direct from them. Though from there reply it seems they can't guarentee I would get the new model with updated encoders, or as they say " would be hard to say" if I would receive the latest version.
Surely there must be records or known by the serial numbers from which ones have the newe encoders.

:(
You could order it and then return it if it's the old model, exchanging it for a different box until you get the right model. Stupid, i know. ^^

I have the same case, different encoders, posted a question on how to identify different hardware revisions of the X1 MK3.
Kontrol X1 MK3: How to identify hardware revisions — Community (native-instruments.com)
Didn't get a clear answer.
I would like to know if ordering a unit at NI will quaranty getting the latest revision
