edited October 22 in Komplete Kontrol

I read under compatibility chapter that, for Mac OS Mojave 10.14, the following:
Komplete Kontrol 2.72/2.73
Komplete 13 installer
Komplete Kontrol S Series keyboards
Are compatibile.
I would like to order a S49 Mk3 and would like to know if I can use with Kontakt 6 instruments and Komplete Kontrol browsing system (and graphic) as well as nks compatibile 3rd parties VSTs (Pigments  for example) that dont require later Mac OS.
Thk for your help

@SirJon Ok, i get it now. Yes, the MacOS compatibility article is misleading as it doesn't specify between MK2 and MK3 versions. That section would be only for the MK2. MK3, as stated in the system requirements in the products pages, only supports MacOS 13 or 14. The compatibility aricle will be enhanced very soon, thanks to you flagging this.

System requirements for S series Mk3 keyboards state macOS 13 or 14. As far as I know these keyboards also require Komplete Kontrol 3 software.

Therefore I the answer is no. You may look for a S49 Mk2 keyboard. Here in Germany you can get them still new from a few sellers or certified refurbished from NI over at reverb.com

Thx. So, what Is written under compatibility session with old OS in NI website Is not true? mmmh...looks strange

Otherwise what is written on S series Mk3 specifiacations site wouldn't be true - that would look much stranger.

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/keyboards/kontrol-s49-s61-s88/specifications/

In section System Requirements it is clearly stated: macOS 13, 14

The macOS compatibility site is just not up to date in this section. It is about legacy products that were available as these older macOS versions got released. There was no S series Mk3 as that part considering macOS 10.12 to 10.15 was written. For that reason there was no need to distinguish different generations as Mk1 and Mk2 will both work with macOS 10.12 to 10.15 (and there was long time no Mk3).

Komplete Kontrol 3 was released to support the new S series Mk3 (and still supports Mk2 models). Therefore older versions don't support S series Mk3. 2.7.2 was long before Mk3 keyboards. Newer versions of Komplete Kontrol aren't supported on macOS 10.14.

There is a misunderstanding here. The MK3 keyboard only support MacOS 13 and MacOS 14:

10.14 is not 14. Apple changed the way the new OS updates are counted.

MacOS 10.14, MacOS 10.15, then after that it went MacOS 11, MacOS 12, etc… is it clearer now?

@Jeremy_NI I assume that @SirJon refers to macOS compatibility site:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014900358-Compatibility-of-Native-Instruments-Products-on-macOS

If you look in the hardware compatibility section for macOS 10.14 it lists as follows:

Here you can read - if you want to - that any S series keyboard (including Mk3) works with Mojave.

    @maniacintosh81 :

    Exactly!

I read the System Reqs for S Series MK3 but I put the question by reading the hardware compatibility section for macOS 10.14 where looks that any S Series Keyboard work with Mojave. Now I cleared my doubts. However I would suggest to NI to change that compatibility section that is not 100% clear.

    Thank you all
