Kontakt - Fader shows activity; but no sound
I have inserted Kontakt (6.8) plugin on one of the Logic Pro X tracks; and have enabled it to record. I have added one instrument (Harmonium) and assigned MIDI Port A:1 to it. While the faders in the Harmonium instrument shows activity, I cannot hear the sound 😒 The attached video capture shows the issue.
In the stand-alone app, all MIDI outputs are ON. I am not sure about the setting for the MIDI Inputs. Another video capture shows the settings also. Which MIDI settings should I use?
Thanks :)
Sam

Ok, so now the no sound issue is gone, even within Logic?
Sorry, Kontakt 6 is a little different regarding output configuration, glad you found your way around it.
Regarding the key noise on the harmonium, the sound of pressing the keys was the one from the instrument recorded, it is not possible to remove it. the ambient patch is a little less clicky, also softer strokes (lower velocity) will also reduce it.

Do you get sound in Kontakt in standalone? When you press a note on your keyboard? When you press a key on the onscreen keyboard?
When in Logic please choose rack view in the Kontakt plug-in's window, choose outputs and select REset output configuration for AU plugin:

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for taking time to answer my question.
- No sound in the standalone Kontakt 6. Nor there is any fader activity. May be because of the dialog that's overlaid under the instrument that I need to dismiss, but cannot. See the attached screenshot below.
2. In Logic, selecting "Reset output section…." as in your screenshot also has not fixed the issue. I see the volume and St1. faders moving but couldn't hear anything. However, "Batch Functions > Clear output section…" cleared the issue and am able to hear the instrument.
Followup Question: When I play the instrument, I hear the Key Clicks of the harmonium…. (please listen to the attached MP3 file). Is there a way to suppress the key clicks?
Thanks.
