no more connection to my MiniFreak Synth via Midi (USB)

I have Maschine MK3 and Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 and an Arturia MiniFreak Synth all connected via Midi/USB to my PC (Surface Studio).

Until now, everything worked fine: Midi-Out (Group H, Pad 1, where I have the MiniFreak V loaded) was set to 'MiniFreak' Channel 1, MiniFreak listens on cnannel 1. Audio Out from MiniFreak to Audio in to Maschine Group H, Pad 2.
With the mixer I can control wether I want to listen to Minifreak V (Pad 1) or the Audio in from MiniFreak (Pad 2).

Since today, I can't get a connection to the MiniFreak any more. It might be that this is since I updated to 2.18.4 recently (not sure if I tested this constellation after the update. Before, all was working stable and flawlessly).

When I load my standard template (configured as layed out above), the Midi configuration of slot 1 still says 'MiniFreak', but no Midi signal is sent from Maschine (checked with Midiview app). When I turn the knob to deselect MiniFreak and select it again, it can't be selected.

Midi via USB on the MiniFreak is working (checked with the Midiview app)-

When I create a new project and try to set Midi to MiniFreak, it's no longer displayed as a choice in the menu.

I have no idea, what happened (besides I suspect the recent Machine update).

Any ideas how I can reconnect my synth are more than welcome!

I found the cause: the checkbox 'MiniFreak' in the Midi Out preferences screen was unchecked.

I have no idea, how that happened, I didn't remove it myself for sure.

Anyways: it's working again! :-)

Is possible to somehow 'downgrade' to Maschine 2.18.3 to check if the update might have caused the issue?
