Hello i just get an amazing Mk3 KONTROL S88.

ON logic and pro tools i don't have issue, but i cannot use it on Cubase 12 and 13. When i play with it it looks like Cubase do not receive signal both USB and midi.

Do you think it is a Steinberg bug or your side problem.

If you could debug me it would be awesome.

My system is MAC OSX VENTURA

Processor m1

Thank you, have a great day.

Alex

@AL EX I've done some digging and talked to some colleagues. There was one user with the same symptoms as you. The solution was simply to reset Cubase preferences to default. You can do that by quitting all programs and renaming or deleting the Cubase 13 folder found here:

    Macintosh HD\*Your Username*/Library/Preferences\Cubase 13

Note: the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, click on Go in the menu bar and press down the Alt key. You'll now find the Library entry in the menu:

    From here: https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000245510-Preferences-of-Cubase-and-Nuendo

    Does that fix the issue?

    Three questions:

    1. Have you updated to the latest available versions of Cubase?
    2. Have you followed the steps here? https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4406832231441-How-to-Integrate-Your-Kontrol-Keyboard-with-Your-DAW
    3. Are you connected directly, or via a USB-C hub? If so, please try using a USB-C hub to bypass some inherent USB-C issues with certain chipsets.

Is everything functional in standalone? What MIDI inputs have you selected? Screenshot welcome.

In Cubase, you mention that no MIDI is coming through but are the host integration features working? Like, Play, Rec, do you see the Cubase mixer on the keyboard?

Can you browse, load and control the preset? Is it only the notes not being played when you hit the keys?

@AL EX I think I know where the issue is coming from. You selected the Kontrol MK3 DAW port, this port is responsible for communication between the DAW and the keyboard, it's not the same as the MIDI input (for notes and MIDI control). You should select the one called simply Kontrol S88 MK3.

    See this article:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4406832231441-How-to-Integrate-Your-Kontrol-Keyboard-with-Your-DAW

There is a section specific to Cubase that shows how everything should look.

Can you send a screenshot of all your available MIDI inputs within Cubase?

It's not about the host integration, it's just the MIDI in that is not working when playing the keys.

Can you simply send a screenshot of all the available MIDI inputs here:

Can you also check in Komplete Kontrol in standalone the available/selected MIDI inputs, screenshot also welcome.

Sorry, I can't send you screenshots yet, I'm waiting for a licence renewal from Steinberg.
