Install Kontakt 7.7 or greater using the legacy Native Access v1.14.1

Hi everyone,

I'm really happy with my new Kontakt 7 running via Wine on my Ubuntu 24.04. My only concern is that I had to use the legacy installer (Native Access v1.14.1) which installed Kontakt 7.6.1.

Can I upgrade Kontakt to a greater version without installing Native Access v2 (which I haven't been able to make work with Wine, at least yet)?

If not, is there any way I can run Hybrid Keys 2.1.0? It says in the specifications that it works with Kontakt 7.6 but when I try to open it, it tells me that my Kontakt version is too old and that I need at least Kontakt 7.7.

These are the versions of the products I've installed so far:

    • Native Access: 1.14.1 (R156)
    • Analog Dreams: 2.1.1
    • Ethereal Earth: 2.1.0
    • Hybrid Keys: 2.1.0
    • Kontakt 7: 7.6.1
    • Kontakt Factory Library 2: 1.3.0
    • Kontakt Factory Selection: 1.4.2
    • The Free Orchestra: 2.0.0

The only products complaining about my version of Kontakt are:

    • Ethereal Earth
    • Hybrid Keys

The rest of the libraries are working smoothly.

Apparently, it is suggested to downgrade the libraries. There are links to the issues in this other thread:

@Capo Unfortunately this legacy version of Native Access will not necessarily show all the latest available updates, only the latest versions of Native Access.

the thread you linked is a specific thread for some libraries that have been recently updated and broke compatibility with Kontakt 6.

    Linux is not supported.
