Creating my own favorites libraries from Kontakt Player?

I'm using Kontakt Player to go thru all my Instruments and wanted to select sounds I like into my own libraries, but I can't seem to find anything to accomplish this?

As a work around, I used Digital Performer (DP) and create a new Template and then add the NI Instruments and sounds I like (or theme. i.e. Trance or Big Band) on a Track.

However, I was hoping there is some why I can build my own libraries directly from Kontakt Player and then later in DP I can build a project based on a library I created via Kontakt.

Perhaps I just work differently, but when I browse thru sounds they trigger "oh this would be good for a trance project" or "oh this would work in a Big Band project" etc. … being able to quickly put an instrument/sound into say "Big Band Library" or my "Trance Library" would be great.

Not sure how you folks do it, but tips are welcome. Maybe other tools exist?

Cheers, Rob.

    Hello,

normally you should be able to mark your favourites like shown here in the manual: https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontakt-manual/en/browser-and-presets#using-favorites

Hi Uwe, tag as a favorite doesn’t let me create a library of favorites, it’s only a single searchable group. As I mentioned above, I’d like to tag (or drag) and item into a Library/Group I create so I can work with my own user groups/libraries.

Having just one “favorites” group isn’t helpful when I’ve several thousand favorites that I’d like to organize into their own groups (like Big Band, Trance, Mediation, 80’s Pop, etc.)

It is not only one searchable group you can additionally filter your favorites with the tags the presets have. For example search for pianos and your favorites. And in the info pane you can add tags to user presets: https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontakt-player-manual/en/browser-and-presets#info-pane-642179

@Uwe303 Thanks, not exactly what I was looking for and more cumbersome to manage. When I’m previewing many thousands of sounds I want to be as fast and as effective as possible. A UI that would let me define my own groups and then all I do is drag drop the sound I like to one of my groups. That would let me audition so many more sounds much faster.

    Rob.
