Kontakt 6 crashes immediately

I just installed Kontakt v6.8.0 in a new PC build after my old DAW died. Immediately upon opening, it throws an error msg with info about how to retrieve the error log. I opened a support ticket. The NI bot said I would receive an email in a few minutes, but never received anything.

I did go through the KONTAKT CRASH tutorial, made it as far as Section 3, # 5, but did not locate the directory that it wanted me to rename. Thought the download might have been faulty, so uninstalled and redownloaded and reinstalled Kontakt. Same error immediately upon opening the software.

I would love to finish getting the new DAW up and running this weekend, and assume I won't hear back from NI until at least Monday. Does anyone have any suggestions for working through this problem?

I'm running Windows 11, AMD 7950X processor, ASRock X670E Steel Legend MB, 64Gb RAM, Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 drives, Scarlett 2I4 interface at 48,000/ASIO.

    Hello,

    you could try to go to the virus and thread protection there to the protection history, and see if there is some native stuff blocked, if yes allow it. Also open kontakt stand alone first to see if it works and to create the database.
