Is there a way of moving my User Content/Instruments into the main KK library?

I often overlook certain user Komplete Kontrol libraries (eg. the user-generated Spitfire Labs, Spectrasonic, Roland Cloud etc), so wondered whether there was a 'hack' of some kind in terms of moving relevant files to the main library to have them appear there?

I'm currently using 2.9.6 rather than KK 3.x, in case that makes any difference.

Nope, pretty sure you can't do that. It's something that's been requested quite a few times but so far it's not been added.

There are ways but tbh they are too much hassle and some run the risk of mixing up your own stuff with factory content which could be bad if it gets replaced in an update. Personally I think of the User library as the main library anyway - the factory library is just stuff made by other people - it can be useful as a starting point or for inspiration but I always tend to move beyond it at some point and either customise patches or make my own completely - either way those go automatically in the user library. I don't really want to mix that up with factory content

Yes there is a way, it's reasonably easy to do if you have some basic computer skills:

Works for both V3 and V2 in the same way.

Windows it's simple, macOS is more frustrating but people have managed to do it. I offer no assistance, it is a case of trial and error but it works just fine and I have all my content in the factory library and also use the more superior v2 of KK.

Personally never had an issue with any of that. It is far better to be able to search instruments in one bucket TBH and it's one of the longest running requests that is extremely easy for them to incorporate (or at least normally it should be but, well…..)

I agree it would be good to have a unified search but I do not want my stuff mixed up with factory stuff organisationally

I'd be happy if they just included the Quick Start capabilities from Kontakt in KK. That would make it at least a bit easier to examine most of my non-NI libraries in one place.

Thanks for that, I'll give the MacOS approach a try. I'm also on the final version of KK2 (2.9.6), so hopefully it'll work with no hitches.
