Hi,
I'm new to sound design and am learning Massive X. I've gone through the tutorials and tried searching for "Downer" presets but haven't figured out how to create a downer sound effect. I attempted using an LFO on the pitch, but it didn't produce the desired sound. Could anyone guide me on how to achieve this effect?

    Hello,

you can use envelopes for that purpose, you simply use then the attack parameter for closing the filter by applying it reversed so the filter is open and the envelop closes it until a certain point and goes back

or you can do it the other way around you lower the filter frequency (or lower the value you want to decent over time to get your decent sound) then the decay and release parameters are important, both methods have some ups and downs,k just try and play around a lot.

so that´s an important thing for downer sounds or descending sounds,

additionally you can use fx and while the downer they disappear, you automate them to become weaker, also distortion - apply it and fade it out, maybe i understood you wrong, can you describe a bit what a downer sound is for you
