Komplete Audio 6 Mk2 - Sonoma M3 macbook Audio Issues

Hi,

TLDR - Is there a way to enable SPDIF output from the regular OS level, instead of ONLY from within measurement/recording software?

I am attempting to put together a functional test/listening setup with a new Macbook air, and apparently have some pretty hefty requirements. My previous setup works perfectly in all regards, so I'm fairly close to just returning the new macbook and Komplete audio 6 and just living with what I have that works.

After much tinkering and enabling full disc access, back and forth (etc…), I was finally able to get my Komplete Audio 6 to function within SMAART v8, although it does REQUIRE a physical patch cable to loop back the reference signal (my old rig with a roland quad capture is able to internally loop the SPDIF signal, eliminating the additional ada conversions and cable problems entirely). I do not seem to have the ability to loop SPDIF internally like the Quad Capture does. Annoying.

The BIG issue I'm having is that there seems to be ZERO access to just route my Macbook's normal audio output through to the SPDIF output from the Komplete Audio 6 mk2. The only output I am able to use from within the MacOS is the analog 1/2. As far as the operating system is aware, Analog 3/4 and SPDIF 5/6 DO NOT EXIST.

Thanks for any input you might have :)
