How to record a pattern from Komplete Kontrol Cuba Conga set

Hi,

I've search the community posts for a relevant answer and I still cannot resolve my problem. I've already found the answer below but I cannot make it work. I also read section 3.4 from Cuba manual. Maybe my expectations are wrong? I was hoping the pattern player would help me prepare the exact beat ready to import in my DAW …

Here's the post I am refering to :

In my DAW (Cubase 12), i have created a VST Instrument track and loaded Komplete Kontrol.

Input Routing is 01 - Komplete Kontrol - Event output

Output routing is Komplete Kontrol Out 1

The trigger in the player is Host. When I start playing or recording, the patterns play and I can hear it. The vumeter for the VST instrument track show that there is an output. The Record Enable and monitor butons are activated. When I stop the recording the track is empty and nothing is recorded. When I switch the input routing to All Midi in, I can record individual events normally, as expected from any VST instrument.

I found the Conga Set with the "Find in explorer" trick mentionned in the other post but I cannot drag and drop the .nki file to Cubase. Not sure anyhow how it would help.

Any help would be appreciated to clarify this.

    Hello,

you drag and drop the midi patterns from kontakt into the instrument channel. In your first picture look at the bottom middle section, there is a square left from the "edit" button, you press and hold it, then drag the midi pattern into cubase.
