Zero-G libraries do not show under brands (Zero-G) in Kontakt 7. In fact more libraries the same. They instead show under NI brand. How can I change that? I also need to have my personal created libraries under my brand name in K7.

Thank you.

Screencap would help here. Not sure exactly what you are talking about.

What libraries? Where are you seeing odd displays etc?

This person can browse Zero-G libraries under the BRAND filter in K7. I cannot do that in my case. I have different libraries from different companies where I have added their libraries through "Import Content" feature but all these libraries do not go to their Brand tag.

    Thanks for the screen cap.

The "Import Content" feature can be a bit shaky depending on what is being brought in and that screenshot above does not indicate which Zero-G libraries that specific user has.

My guess is that if it is a paid NI "partner" library - like a product that would appear in the Libraries Tab in Kontakt (which I suspect that screenshot shows) then of course it will be properly tagged and "branded" as Zero-G - but if you are importing a standalone folder library that is not a partner library - expect very little.

As a test - I just imported my Zero-G Surface Tension library - which imports fine - a stock folder icon appears in my Browser view but no sign of any Zero-G branding here.

Not that I expected anything fancy but this seems normal to me.

I'm not aware of Zero-G ever having a "partner" library but I might be wrong. Maybe they did, hence the, branding. So I guess what I'm experiencing is the current situation which I really hope it changes in the very near future.

The functionality is there to give imported content a brand name but for some reason it doesn't seem to have been enabled and imports become 'read only' - not sure whether that if situation is changed it would open up the ability to edit the brand field but I tried changing them to 'read and write' in Finder but that didn't seem to affect their status as 'read only' as far as Kontakt is concerned

"The functionality is there to give imported content a brand name but for some reason it doesn't seem to have been enabled and imports become 'read only"'

That is made clear right on the Import Content dialog:

Been like this as long as I have been fooling around with this import function…

I know, but I can't see any good reason why this needs to be the case, nor why the editing functionality that exists is being rendered effectively useless.

I honestly realise this for the first time that this notice is there. That said, it is absolutely essential to unlock properties and tags on custom libraries. At least the ones that we create. The whole browsing system of K7 is there to facilitate into neatly categorise all libraries. I hope this will change in the near future!

This notice has been there for months. Or more.

Need to be ask NI why this is read only.
