Moving the folder NBPL to a different drive

Hi Hive Mind,

I have successfully moved all my NI libraries to another drive — that is all with the exception of the NBPL folder (8 Gigs and change). When I try to update the file path in Preview to it's new location (using Native Access) I get an error message telling me "incorrect path" in red??

Ads I mentioned, no issues at all with updating the file paths for all other NI apps / players that i own…

Any insight to resolve this would be much appreciated!

Pax

Simon

I figured I would just try reinstalling Previews. After reinstalling, the folder NBPL had been placed where I wanted it and all is good. Very odd that just trying to move the original NBPL folder and then pointing Previews to it wasn’t allowed… Ho hum., onwards!

What's your operating system? Are you trying to install the NPBL on an external harddrive? What format is that drive? If you're on Windows, maybe it's because of a too long filepath, like here: Native Access Installation Error: "Fatal Error: Can't write..." (Windows)

Latest Mac OS running on a silicon M2. I moved all my libraries to an external drive and the folder NPBL is the only item that won’t allow me to repair the path for Previews, (using Native Access.)

Here's a screen shot of the alert. All other content is on this external Hard drive and is working.

What is the format of your external hard drive? It should be APFS, as mentioned in this article: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers

Please try to rename NBPL folder to Native Browser Preview Library

    Does it work after that?
