Session Strings 2 with Midi Controller?

I've recorded some orchestral midi using Session Strings Pro 2 using Cubase 13, and want to add/record midi cc data (expression) via a midi controller fader. I have the fader programmed for that cc#, and it works perfectly with other virtual instruments. However, the midi cc has no effect at all when using Session Strings Pro.

Can someone enlighten me as to what the problem is?

    I suspect this probably comes down to how you have your MIDI input/output preferences set in Komplete Kontrol.

    I didn't have Komplete kontrol installed. I installed it, and went to midi in/out preferences. It shows both my Akai MPK mini, and the Sparrow 3 fader controller, but doesn't allow me to check them. It'll only let me check either my Quantum interface or the Steinberg cc121. So still no clue how to manually ride the expression fader while using Kontact and Session Strings??
