No Hardware MIDI Out

Hi,

I've connected the MK3 to my iPad with a USB-C to MIDI cable.

The iPad detects the cable, but there's no MIDI IO, based on the status LEDs on the cable and the fact that I'm not hearing sound on my iPad.

How do I set this up?

You will need to use old fashioned MIDI I/O interface for iPad and connect Mk3 via 5pin MIDI (and power Mk3 from USB-C charger and USB-C PD cable).

So I read that this was the case with MK2. Same for this?

I wonder if they will change that….

some of us want to control both hardware and software simultaneously…
