Komplete Kontrol mk2 MIDI mode back to plugin mode

Hi there,

I managed to create split keyboard in KK application midi tool so it shows up when I select MIDI option on KK mk2 keyboard and in DAW I designate one virtual instrument to MIDI channel 1 in left side of the keyboard, and another virtual instrument on another track designated to MIDI channel 2 on the right side of the keyboard. When both tracks are armed, I can hear the separate sounds from the two zone on the keyboard which is great. I have KK plugin and before I switched to MIDI mode, I was able to use KK browsing and sound manipulation it offers on KK mk2 display when engaged with KK app but when I switch to MIDI and it is disengaged from KK app, no matter what I tried I couldn’t make it leave MIDI mode and goes back to connect to KK app hence not showing the browser, sound manipulation variables etc. on KK mk2 GUI. What I’m saying is going to MIDI seem to be a one way street and I can’t go back out of MIDI mode. I tried different buttons and I wasn’t successful. If there is a convention to go back from MIDI mode to KK app communication, I appreciate if you let me know. Thanks a lot.

    I am having the same issue. In my case, I have a bunch of tracks and each track is mapped to a specific midi channel. I have 2 mk2 controllers, s49 and s88. I have 3 issues:

    • If I have 1 instance of komplete kontrol in the liveset, as soon as I do something that has to do with midi, the keyboard switch from midi mode to komplete kontrol and I have to press again midi to be able to control the channel I was previously controlling, I know what is happening, basically kk tries to connect to at least one available controller and basically it keeps switching between s49 and s88 whenever one is in midi mode;
    • If I have 2 instances of komplete kontrol, I just cannot switch back to midi mode, komplete kontrol need to have a controller assigned, so both s49 and s88 are stuck in kk mode plugin mode;
    • lastly, komplete kontrol is forced on channel 1, so when I set the output of the track with kk to a different channel, mk2 keyboards in plugin mode don't actually control kk. I have to remove the kk plugin, change the keyboard back to channel 1, add the plugin again and then eventually it works. Basically Impossible to use.
