Ran out of storage space

I have data on an 1 tb ssd but while installing the 8dio orchestral bundle ran out of space. I have a 2 tb ssd I can use but can’t see any obvious way to use two different data drives. If necessary I could put Komplete Ultimate and the 8dio files on the 2 tb drive but couldn’t find any specifics for doing this.

Has anyone experienced something like this and if so how did you resolve the issue?

I transferred 150 gig of Logic Pro files I had archived on the problem drive. I forgot they were on the drive.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Ok then aome of the stuff I mentioned will maybe not work, it's for windows, but moving libraries and installing the rest on the then new 2 TB drive should work like shown under the link I posted, where they show the relocate function and I don't know if it will work for every non kontakt library that easy. For all non kontakt libraries a reinstall on the new drive could be faster.

    Hello,

on windows you can try to expand the volume with the disk manager, you need unallocated space, then right click on the volume you want to expand, then a window opens, the rest is self explanatory. This method is the best in my opinion, cause you just have one drive where everything is installed. You could of course also just change the installation path (content location) under native access preferences, then all new installations go to that folder and the old ones will still work. Or you move the libraries to the other drive, relocate them and install the rest but if you do that, set the drive letter to the old one(!!), otherwise you could have lot´s of trouble with existing projects looking for that location.

Remove the attempted install then in Native Access settings just choose another Content location and install again.

Sometimes however then N.A. is extremely stupid when it comes to stopped/broken downloads and it might take some doing to get N.A. to understand that the stuff is not downloaded or that you want to start over.. If so we have to try to fix that.

Initially I tried to change drives but NA refused to acknowledge. Next time I have a big install I’ll try big an 2020 again to use the 2 tb drive.

I’m using a 2020 Mac Mini I7 6 core. It’s old but has 32 gigs of ram and works better than expected.

Weird, the jumbo jumbo above was concatenated minus a few words. In any case I’ll try putting all libraries on the 2 tb drive. It is a mess to uninstall on a Mac, files all over the place. I was a Windows user from 3.1 but did Iike porting over from v7.x. I ran a computer/music Mac lab at the university I went to and was offered a Mini. I suppose I could set up a Windows machine but I’ve grown fond of Logic which is Mac only.

Thanks for the replies. It’s something to consider.

Nothing wrong with mac, both systems work great once you've set it all up, and both have advantages and disadvantages, hope you get it sorted

You probably tried to change something in the middle of a download and you ought not be surprised if that does not work. Normally you ought to be able to change the Content location in the Native Access path settings.
