Keep needing to uninstall/reinstall Controller Editor

For some reason, every time I turn off my computer and turn it back on again, Traktor no longer communicates with my S4 MK3. I've done all the suggested stuff, which is how I came to discover that uninstalling/reinstalling the Controller Editor is what resolves this issue.

I really just wish I didn't have to do it every time I turned my computer on. Any thoughts on why I keep having to do that? Everything is up to date.

It is a known issue with S4 Mk3. Not sure why reinstalling the CE helps, the S4 Mk3 is not even in the CE nor have the MIDI mode.

although im not using a S4Mk3…. you will often come across connection issues if you are using hubs…

sometimes what can help… is trying USB different ports,

or in one odd case i had, my Maschine Mk2 unit wasnt connecting if using a USB hub port… i needed to connect the USB device to the port closest to the power supply cord..

Another method you could try… is if the NI based unit has a midi mode/instance… then by selecting that can sometimes help!

beyond that, not sure what the issue could be as to why the unit is not being detected

it's SO weird… i've got it plugged directly into the laptop and always have. i'm neurotic about keeping drivers updated, etc. - and of course, now that i've posted this, it works today. you know how that works…

I have had this thing for a few years and have never had this issue until recently.

The Controller Editor software installs the NIHardwareAgent and is necessary for all NI hardware devices.
