"Your version of Kontakt is too old to load this file." but I have the latest version
Cannot use some "Kontakt" instruments in Maschine says I need the latest version but I installed the latest version. I have not gone through every instrument but so far many of the guitars will not load. mint guitar, electric sunburst, picked acoustic
Loads in kontakt stand alone just NOT in maschine. Oddly enough the previews play but the instruments will not load

What happens in Maschine in standalone? Same thing?
If you load Kontakt in Maschine this way (in ProTools and in standalone) through the dropdown menu, click on the NI logo what version does it show?

Okay, that is a workaround that seems to work for now. I can load Kontact into maschine and then load the guitar libraries. However when I try to load the guitar libraries directly into maschine, whether it is in stand alone or plug in. It says I need the newest version of Kontact, which I have.

@duffs200 Ok, can you check if this box is ticked or not?
Does ticking/unticking it fixes the issue?
If not you could do a rescan here, as well as a rescan in the Library section of the preferences of Maschine.
Altrernatively (and faster) you can reset the database:
Reinitialize the Maschine Database
- Note: The User Library folder is hidden. See this article for instructions to access hidden macOS folders.
- Search through the Native Instruments folder at this location to find the Maschine 2 folder.
- Note: Deleting other NI product folders could result in unexpected behavior with other applications.
- Reopen the Maschine software to check that the issue has been resolved.
