Different values in Maschine software and hardware when using encoders

I have recently noticed that my Maschine hardware displays weird, almost random parameter values when I use an encoder. For example: if I turn an encoder fully CCW to set Attack value to zero, this is displayed correctly in the the software, I can also hear that there is zero attack time, but the hardware doesn't display zero. If I increase the Attack time and try again to set to zero, again, it works correctly in the software and I can also hear correct result, but the hardware stops at a random value, different than before, sometimes even shows zero, but the result is always unpredictable. I tries all encoders and different plugins, the behavior is always the same.

It's even weirder. I have just noticed, that everything works correctly if I load a plugin from the software. When I load the same plugin from the hardware, I observe the above behaviour. Even the layout of the pages is different when loaded from the software/hardware.

    Hello,

i don´t own the mk3 but the maschine studio, and i don´t have that problem, the values are always perfectly the same. Do you speak about maschine software, have you tried another cable or usb port, maybe there is some data issue, even if i doubt that.

I think I found the root cause of the issue. I use a Macbook with Apple silicon. The problem only occurs, if I load a VST plugin, AU plugins work correctly. However, only VST plugins can be loaded from the Maschine library (software and hardrware). So the only way to load a correctly working (AU) plugin, is to add it directly from the Sound menu, where I can select from the AU plugin folder (works both in software and hardware).

Ok I'm not a mac user but maybe there is a way to force maschine to use au plugins only like on windows where I can disable vst2 plugins. In the settings there is a plugin tab or something like that, with a list of all of your plugins, there you can also disable or enable them, maybe disable all vst versions. Try just with one plugin and try, if it works then also disable others.

I tried to disable all vst plugins, but it didn’t help. The library still remembered the vst plugins, even if you disable them in settings. If you want to open AU plugins, you can only do that directly from Sound. I even tried to remove the path for the VST plugins from settings, but the only result was that all plugins became unavailable from the library - proof that the library only supports VST, not AU.

I will try to open Maschine using Rosetta and see if the issue persists as I suspect this is only occurs when running Maschine in native silicon compatible mode.

No, switching to Rosetta didn't help. Looks like there is something wrong with VST plugins running on Mac. Only AU plugins work correctly.
