can record midi with Kontakt 7 in Ableton Live 12, but will not play back recorded midi audio. instrument lights up so receiving signal. Wish I would not have purchased. Free VST worked fine, but thought I was upgrading sounds.
Assuming you have your VST attached appropriately to your MIDI track, the next question is do you have your VST configured appropriately to use the audio interface?
As far as audio interfaces, I only have a midi controller to create the sounds, otherwise just the laptop and the software.
